The Louie R. Merlo Foundation (LMRF) makes its first donation, a $15,000 gift to The University of Michigan Pediatric Palliative Care Program Wednesday, August 21, 2019 in Brighton, Michigan. The foundation was established by Nancy and Ray Merlo, owners of the Brighton Equestrian Club (BEC), in their son’s memory, for the purpose of gifting life luxuries to families with severely impaired children. The donation will be used, in part, to sponsor a therapy dog to bring joy and inspiration to young patients and their families.
